Late But Still Awesome

This is Tomas Mankovsky's short stop motion film, Sorry I'm Late.

It's so mesmerisingly good that I wanna show it to my girlfriend...

and i hope it distracts her long enough to forget I'm 3 hours late for our date.

Exploiting Obama-mania With a Twist

Not content with selling bazillion Spider-man comics by using Barack Obama's popularity a few months back, Marvel Comics is at it again.

This time, it's the presidential dog who gets the comic book treatment.

Bo, the first family's Portuguese Water Dog will appear alongside everyone's favorite inhuman bulldog, Lockjaw, along with other Marvel animals in the 4th issue of Pet Avengers.

That sounds a thousand times awesome than any whiny, wall-crawling, devil-dealing teenager.

The Saddest Girl In Comics

Seems like the Archie Comics crew have been micro blogging for some time now.

And after the recent Archie nuptials controversy, looks like the girl who got shafted isn't really happy about it

Which is perplexing. Archie is an ugly, charmless douchebag.

I like Reggie better.

It's The Stache That Makes The Man

The manliest men in the history of mankind are those who rock the sweetest mustaches.

Now say that five times.

Seriously (not really) a little facial hair brings out the macho in you, and sometimes even on your girlfriend.

But for anyone who's not into growing face bushes, here's something for you...

a pop stache, invented by one Shane Blomberg.

Just attach it to your soda bottle and look like Freddie Mercury every time you drink.

Daredevil Reboot? Possibly...

Marvel is the little multi-million dollar company that can, after disappointing movies like The Hulk and The Punisher, is not afraid to go pick up its feet and try again with newer, marginally better versions of these failures.

And the beloved comics company is at it again with Daredevil.

Although rumors of a daredevil reboot has been floating around for quite sometime now nothing's been confirmed...

until some nerds saw Katee Sackhoff...

also known as Starbuck from Battle Star Galactica shopping around for Daredevil Comics that feature Typhoid Mary...

which is Daredevil's on-again/off-again mentally ill lover/foe.

Either she's prepping for a role in the new movie...

or she's just a sucker for insane comic book chicks.

That said, I'm dressed as Harley Quinn right now.

And how did he print that picture?

Did he poop it out like a Polaroid?

Not a Good Idea: Buffy Remake Minus Whedon

Looks like Buffy the vampire slayer movie is getting a remake even if it bombed when it was first released.

Of course it did spawn the highly successful TV series.... which saw Buffy's ceator, Joss Whedon's vision of the character come to life.

Buffy The Movie on the other hand saw director Fran Kuzui turn Joss' vision of empowered teenage girls fighting scary ass vampires into a saved-by-the-bell with vampires.

And it looks like the remake will have no Whedon in it.

Maximum suckage.

Awesome Fake Things: Green Lantern Trailer

This is a fake Green Lantern Movie by Jason Pitts and it's got Nathan Fillion all gushy.

Isn't that sheer awesome? Funny thing is a lot of the movies used were kinda lame like the planet of the apes remake, Dragonball Evolution and that last sucky Matrix movie.

Man in Gorilla Costume Sought For Attempted Theft of Fake Bananas

Associated Press reported that in Fon du lac, Wisconsin, a man in an ape suit tried to steal foam banana displays on two occasions.

The police are still after the fake simian because his motives are still unclear.

I would like to add that fake apes love eating fake bananas.

Spidey Does Dallas

In the regular Marvel Universe, Spider-Man's marriage to Mary Jane Watson was ended by the devil himself.

Looks like the devil doesn't read the papers.

In the Spider-man newspaper series, Peter wakes up to find his most current adventure was just a dream and that he's still married to his supermodel wife.

Isn't it a bit late to do Dallas Homages?

Truth About Marvel's Reborn

In July, Marvel comics will release Reborn. Which many have speculated will be the return of the original Captain America, Steve Rogers. Who died in 2007 causing much media uproar.

Well, Lisa Lopacinski thinks someone else will be wearing the star spangled spandex suit...

and it may be a black man.

It's not really far fetched as, in Marvel comic continuity, the first person who received the super soldier serum was indeed a black man, and this was featured the 2003 mini series, Truth, Red White and Black.

And as seen above, Reborn's cover does echo, Truth's.

A black Captain America?

Why not?

Is it Veronica or Betty or Jughead?

After 67 years of flirting with the two girls (and, sometimes, his crown-wearing best bud) Archie is about to make the biggest mistake of his life:

He's getting married!

Although it's a secret as to which gal (or guy) he'll ask the question to.

I'm really rooting for Jughead coz the guy has been saving himself for Archie (pretending he doesn't like girls) and that a gay marriage would really suit the Archie comics' habit of tackling important issues whose relevance have come to pass.

Next years big storyline, the gang gets swine flu.

Big laughs folks, big laughs.

Alan Moore Making an Album

Comics 2riter, connoisseur of the mystic arts and beard enthusiast. Alan Moore is all these things. And now he's going into music.

The hairy madman is collaborating with a UK indie music company for an audiobook and a possible soundtrack for a semi-autobiographical work.

His collaborators would include Mike Patton of Faith No More and Justin Broadrick formerly of Godflesh. Although it's not sure if Moore himself would contribute to the soundtrack.

But if you ask me, he should do something like this:

Wolfram/Alpha The Cerebral Cortex Of The Great Robot Revolution

Wolfram/Alpha is kinda like Google but it's much more scary because it's self aware and will one day enslave us. According to it's website:

"Today's Wolfram|Alpha is the first step in an ambitious, long-term project to make all systematic knowledge immediately computable by anyone. You enter your question or calculation, and Wolfram|Alpha uses its built-in algorithms and growing collection of data to compute the answer."

You can go to the Wolfram/Alpha site and type in any question.

I asked it, "What's up?" and it said, "Hello, human." So yeah, I'm shaking like a leaf.

And the fact that it's name reminds me of Wolfram and Hart from Angel isn't helping.
